Revolution Brewing is looking for a Key Account Manager to grow our presence with retail and hospitality chain accounts across our wholesaler footprint in the midwest. This role manages relationships with buyers, distributor partners, and internal teams to execute sales strategy and drive growth. You’ll help with our annual sales plans, manage programs such as scanbacks, billbacks, and promotional allowances, and use data to report our success and find new opportunities.

This hands-on position blends relationship management and market execution. You’ll be working with buyers on promotional planning, pricing decisions, assortment opportunities, and account priorities while partnering with internal teams and distributor partners to bring these plans to life.

The Key Account Manager is an on-site role based at our Avondale brewery office in Chicago, IL, with occasional travel to visit chain buyers and meet with wholesale partners. As a result, this role will be on-site at the Chicago brewery 3-4 days a week. The range for this position is $70,000-$90,000, based on experience, and additionally has quarterly incentives and an annual bonus program of up to 10% of your salary.

In this role you’ll:

  • Manage assigned retail accounts and hospitality groups to build strong partnerships with buyers, distributor teams, and stakeholders to support sales growth, distribution goals, and long-term account development
  • Use data-driven sales (Nielsen, IRI, VIP) to identify and close opportunities, develop pitch decks, and generate new points of distribution
  • Prepare presentations, scorecards, sales recaps, and other selling materials, and present to account buyers during initial and annual meetings
  • Support planning initiatives, including annual sales plans, promotional calendars, new item submissions, pricing updates, and account-specific growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with both internal and external partners to execute retail programs, including displays, authorizations, and promotional activity, ensuring plans are delivered effectively in market
  • Manage promotional programs, including scanbacks, billbacks, and promotional allowances, by entering program details, tracking execution, evaluating results, and monitoring spend
  • Conduct market visits and retail audits to evaluate execution, identify opportunities, and drive improved distribution, merchandising, and promotional performance, and maintain strong relationships with distributor partners for assistance on out of area check-ins
  • Support the Senior Director of Sales with account forecasting, budgeting, and annual planning activities, while identifying opportunities to improve merchandising and promotions
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in CPG, preferably in alcohol sales
  • Experience working with chain customers, with experience of having at least one established chain relationship with a hospitality group or grocery chain
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales and market data, preferably utilizing syndicated data such as Nielsen, Circana (IRI), VIP, Karma, or other retailer portals
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and sales reporting tools required, PowerBI preferred
  • Experience analyzing sales data and using insights to identify opportunities and communicate recommendations to appropriate partners
  • Experience supporting or managing promotional programs, pricing initiatives, or customer-specific sales plans
  • Strong communication, organization, and project management skills
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
  • Ability to travel for chain meetings in the midwest, mainly driving; valid drivers license and clean driving record required
