Job Summary:

The receiving associate is responsible for helping the Receiving Clerk receive merchandise into the store.ย  The individual should be able to keep detailed records, follow established procedures, and organize storage and placement of merchandise.ย  Independent judgment, organizational skills, good writing, and communication skills are needed.ย  Will need to interact with management, customers, and other co-workers.

Qualifications:

  1. Education:ย  Must have a high school education or equivalent.
  2. Training and Experience:ย  Some experience with building materials is preferred.
  3. Job Knowledge: Experience in product receiving and equipment use preferred.
  4. Physical Demands: Work requires much physical effort; involves little sitting, standing, walking and some heavy lifting on a regular basis.ย  Works in and out of air-conditioned environment.ย  (Important: This job is classified in the physical demands section of the job description [Form IV-31] as constant heavy duty work and occasional extra heavy work.)
