About the role
As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and delivering scalable, high-performance enterprise applications that support critical business operations. You will be a valued member of the engineering team and work collaboratively with architects, product owners, developers, and business stakeholders to build innovative, cloud-ready solutions while driving technical excellence and modernization initiatives.
In this role, you will
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java 17+, Spring Boot, and modern software engineering practices.
• Build and support secure, reliable, and high-performing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Develop and enhance user interfaces using Angular 17+/19+ and modern TypeScript frameworks.
• Design and implement data persistence solutions using JPA/Hibernate with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Implement event-driven architectures and messaging solutions using Kafka and enterprise messaging technologies.
• Containerize applications with Docker and support CI/CD-driven deployment processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless front-end and back-end integration.
• Contribute to solution architecture, technical design decisions, AI-enabled development initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
Work Model: Hybrid

What you need to have to be considered
• 6+ years of experience developing enterprise applications using Java 17+.
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Microservices, REST API development, JPA, and Hibernate.
• Experience developing modern front-end applications using Angular 17+/19+ and TypeScript.
• Deep understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and scalable application design.
• Strong database experience including Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, database design, query optimization, performance tuning, stored procedures, and indexing strategies.
• Experience with Kafka, MQ, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Docker, Git, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration platforms such as Camunda.
• Experience building and consuming REST and SOAP APIs.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Exposure to AI-driven application development and intelligent automation solutions.
• Experience with NoSQL databases and cloud-native architectures.

Salary and other compensation
The annual salary for this position is $68,422 - $114,000, depending on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
In addition to salary, this role is eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, subject to individual and company performance.
