Human Resources Business Associate

Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: 25.00
Location: Kirby
Schedule: Mon-Friday 1st Shift

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Associate to support day-to-day HR operations within an office and warehouse environment. This position will work closely with management and employees to support recruiting, employee relations, onboarding, payroll, benefits, compliance, training, and workplace safety.

The ideal candidate is organized, professional, proactive, and comfortable handling confidential and sensitive employee matters.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and selecting qualified candidates.
  • Conduct new-hire orientations and onboarding.
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
  • Handle employee relations concerns and workplace investigations.
  • Provide HR guidance and support to management.
  • Assist with coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions, and performance matters.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll.
  • Administer employee benefits, including health benefits, COBRA, Workers’ Compensation, disability, and PTO.
  • Maintain and communicate HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state employment requirements.
  • Support OSHA requirements, audits, workplace safety, and injury prevention.
  • Identify employee training needs and assist with training programs.
  • Assist with temporary employment agreements, new hires, promotions, and transfers.
  • Support company events and food safety initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of Human Resources experience required/preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with HR systems such as iSolved and Qdoc is helpful.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Comfortable working in an office/warehouse environment.
  • Ability to travel as required.

Preferred Knowledge/Training

Experience or knowledge in the following is a plus:

  • GMP – Good Manufacturing Practices
  • HACCP
  • Food Safety / FSSC 22000
  • Harassment Prevention
  • OSHA and workplace safety requirements
