Job Description
The incumbent in this position is responsible for developing and implementing a broad-based, comprehensive health promotion and disease prevention program for the Seminole Tribe of Florida's Integrative Health Education Program. The individual identifies health education needs, concerns and resources through assessment methods and prepares a written Health Education Plan, which addresses areas of need. The incumbent demonstrates the ability to follow all aspects of C.A.R.E., i.e., Courtesy, Attitude, Respect and Enthusiasm. Bachelor's Degree in Health Education, Community or Public Health, Biologic Sciences, Nutrition, Education, Public Relations, Behavioral Science or Communications is required. Master's degree is preferred. A minimum of one (1) year of professional experience providing health education services is required. Experience in lieu of education may be considered. Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity is preferred. Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License is required. Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook. The incumbent must possess a valid Florida Driver's License. Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
