Springwoods Behavioral Health is currently seeking a compassionate and talented Yoga Intructor to join our team.
At Springwoods Behavioral Health we understand that not all wounds are visible. Depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, addiction, and suicide affects millions of individuals and families. Our mission is to be a leader in behavioral healthcare, dedicated to excellent service in the community.
Springwoods Behavioral Health offers a continuum of services designed to help children, adolescents and adults who are experiencing behavioral, emotional or addictive problems that can lead to fractured lives. Our team of professionals includes board-certified child/adolescent and adult psychiatrists, licensed clinical therapists, nurses and mental health associates who are here to help people reconnect with their families, friends and employers so that they may lead productive lives.
We believe in an individualized, patient-focused approach to diagnosis and treatment. For some, anxiety or drug dependence looks different from others with the same diagnoses, and in some cases, behavioral health and substance use disorders occur simultaneously. In these cases of dual diagnosis, we treat the patients in the best way possible given their specific needs.
The Yoga Instructor is responsible for teaching patients the practice of yoga poses, breathing and meditation. Yoga is a universal practice. Yoga supports patients in connecting with mind, body and soul. Yoga serves the purpose of teaching a positive relationship with the body, breathing techniques as a way of connecting with the body versus being disconnected with the body and meditation to promote mindfulness skills.
Springwoods Behavioral Health, an 80-bed behavioral health facility located in Fayetteville, Arkansas, provides acute inpatient treatment for adolescent, adult, and specialty program for women. The hospital also offers outpatient treatment. Our six-acre campus is adjacent to a 123-acre Audubon Wildlife and Bird Sanctuary, which is held in perpetuity and cannot be developed from its natural state. This provides Springwoods with a peaceful setting for those embarked on the road to recovery.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Yoga Therapy or Hatha Yoga Instruction Certification or Training through an accredited Yoga Training program Required.
One (1) year Yoga teaching experience required. Experience working in healthcare setting preferred.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid Certification. Successful completion of Handle With Care training including appropriate use of seclusion and restraints within 30 days of employment, and prior to assisting in a restraining process.
