Work schedule: Monday to Friday - 7:00am to 3:30 pm.

JOB MISSION:

The Distribution Center Quality Inspector will be responsible for performing quality inspections on finished products from our manufacturing facilities. You will be part of a team of quality inspectors focused on reducing the amount of defective product generated and working to prevent defective product from escaping to the customer. You will stay up to date on New Balance's quality standards and work to ensure that you are aligned with other quality inspectors across the organization. You will have to work safely and efficiently to help ensure that the department meets its goals for key metrics. You will need to be a team player and show flexibility in a department that is looking to continuously improve.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Perform quality inspections on finished goods to ensure conformance to standards.
Capture results of inspections digitally.
Deliver constructive feedback to key stakeholders around quality results.
Act as a subject matter expert and partner with other team members or temporary associates on special projects.
Conduct both physical and digital movements of product throughout the department.
Provide feedback on improvement opportunities and participate in improvement activities within the department.
Perform other duties as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
Background in footwear and a familiarity with quality requirements is a plus.
Basic computer skills including the ability to work in standard MS Office Programs (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Ability to lift up to 40lbs regularly and stand for long periods of time.
Self-motivated and capable of completing work without constant supervision.
Ability to work well with others and contribute to a safe workplace environment.

Salt Lake City, UT Distribution Center Only Pay Range: $18.70 - $23.35 - $28.05 Hourly (actual base pay varying based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, internal equity, geographic location, and more.)
