Job description

MK Power is a growing electrical contractor serving Salt Lake City, Park City, and surrounding communities. We perform a wide range of residential and commercial electrical work including remodels, tenant improvements, service upgrades, troubleshooting, custom homes, multifamily projects, and commercial construction.

We’re a small company with a strong reputation and a solid team. Our electricians work on a variety of projects, which means you’ll gain experience across multiple sectors instead of doing the same task every day.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Electrician or Apprentice Electrician to join our team. Candidates should be capable of working independently at their experience level, solving problems in the field, maintaining professional customer interactions, and contributing to high-quality residential and commercial electrical installations.

This position will perform a combination of service work, remodels, tenant improvements, troubleshooting, service upgrades, and new construction projects throughout the Salt Lake Valley and Park City areas.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot electrical systems on residential and commercial projects
• Perform service work, remodels, tenant improvements, and electrical upgrades
• Read plans, specifications, and electrical drawings
• Install panels, feeders, branch circuits, lighting, and distribution equipment
• Bend and install EMT, rigid conduit, and raceway systems
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and complete repairs efficiently
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites
• Train and mentor less experienced apprentices when appropriate
• Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, inspectors, and coworkers
• Maintain compliance with NEC, OSHA, and company safety standards

Requirements

• Utah Journeyman Electrician License preferred; Apprentice Electricians with 2nd, 3rd, or 4th Year licensing and strong field experience are encouraged to apply
• Experience with residential and commercial electrical work
• Clean driving record
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision appropriate to experience level
• Must provide standard electrical hand tools
• Professional communication and customer service skills
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
