Job description

What Impact You'll Have

GRVTY is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, secure, and maintain our enterprise infrastructure. This role combines advanced Cisco networking and security expertise with strong Linux systems administration experience. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, security-focused, and comfortable operating in a hybrid on-premises and cloud environment.

What You'll be Owning

  • Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure
  • Configure and support:
  • Cisco routers and switches
  • Cisco ASA and/or Firepower firewalls
  • Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine)
  • Manage VLANs, routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP), and switching technologies
  • Implement and maintain site-to-site and remote access VPNs
  • Maintain network segmentation and security controls
  • Perform firmware upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management
  • Monitor network health and performance using SNMP and other tools
  • Troubleshoot complex Layer 2/3 connectivity issues
  • Implement and enforce network security best practices
  • Maintain firewall policies and intrusion prevention system

Linux Systems Administration

  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)
  • Manage system services, patching, and updates
  • Automate tasks using Bash, Python, or Ansible
  • Manage system backups and disaster recovery procedures
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot production issues

What You Must Have

  • Must have a current and active DoD TS/SCI clearance
  • CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent) or better is required
  • At least 5+ years of experience in network engineering and systems administration
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment is required
  • Experience with Cisco ASA or Firepower security appliances
  • Must have a deep understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, and switching
  • Strong Linux administration experience in production environments
  • Experience with virtualization platforms
  • Knowledge of network security principles and best practices
  • Ability to troubleshoot across network and system layers

What Would be Nice to Have

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or better
  • Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet)
  • Experience with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix)
