Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Associate Structural Engineer to join our team!
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Complete numerous assignments for development of construction documents including drawings, specifications and estimates.
  • Assist with development of geometric design of highways and roads including horizontal and vertical geometry, cross sections, super-elevations diagrams, gore details, vertical clearance calculations and grading plans. May perform material quantity takeoffs, estimates and surveys.
  • Use design software and CAE/CAD applications to implement project designs
  • Develop and implement QA procedures to ensure quality control performed by others is properly implemented throughout the program and assigned project.
  • Provide input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and other Engineers working on the same project.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree Civil Engineering
  • Some related work experience and/or internships preferred
  • In addition, an Engineer In Training (EIT) Certificate is preferred
  • Requires basic process engineering knowledge, as well as a working knowledge of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate both written and orally with other engineers and clients is required.
