Information Risk Analyst Other San Antonio, Texas | Contract

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a TX-RAMP Cloud Security Assessor / Information Risk Analyst to support a Texas state agencyโ€™s Texas Risk and Authorization Management Program (TX-RAMP). This role will be responsible for conducting TX-RAMP Type 1, Type 2, and Fast Track assessments of cloud service offerings to evaluate compliance with Texas security requirements and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong cloud security, risk management, and audit experience, along with the ability to manage the full certification lifecycle from initial assessment through continuous monitoring and recertification activities.

Responsibilities
  • Perform TX-RAMP Type 1, Type 2, and Fast Track assessments for cloud service providers seeking certification and authorization.
  • Review and evaluate the security posture of cloud environments, architectures, controls, and supporting documentation against TX-RAMP requirements.
  • Assess technical, administrative, and operational security controls to identify gaps, risks, and compliance issues.
  • Assist in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of TX-RAMP policies, procedures, workflows, guidance documents, notifications, and communications.
  • Ensure adherence to established security, governance, risk management, and compliance standards throughout all assessment activities.
Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience conducting information security risk assessments, developing POA&Ms, and coordinating with information owners and custodians.
  • 2+ years of experience conducting cloud security assessments.
  • 2+ years of experience developing, reviewing, or maintaining information security policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience coordinating or conducting IT security audits.
  • 2+ years of experience identifying, reviewing, prioritizing, and tracking security vulnerabilities and remediation efforts.
  • 2+ years of experience performing data analysis, reporting, and trend identification.
  • 1+ year of experience with the Texas Risk and Authorization Management Program (TX-RAMP).
  • Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks such as NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, SOC, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and HITRUST.
  • Experience supporting government, public sector, or highly regulated industry environments.
