Job description

SPD Equipment Technician
Location: Sugar Land, TX 77487
Schedule: Mon- Fri 9am -5:30pm
Pay: 20hr - 26hr (DOE)

TPI Staffing is hiring an SPD Equipment Technician for a leading manufacturing company in Sugar Land, TX. This position is responsible for supporting equipment and production engineers with equipment maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and cleanroom operations in a wafer production environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with installation and upgrades of production equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on manufacturing tools
  • Monitor equipment performance and report errors or abnormal readings
  • Support cleanroom operations, DI water systems, nitrogen gas systems, and cylinder changes
  • Assist with chemical handling, waste treatment, and inventory management of acids and solvents
  • Help build, modify, and improve production equipment and tools
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in a technical field required
  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of electrical, mechanical, or chemical experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment
  • Experience with pumps, chillers, cooling water systems, and gas bottle changes is a plus
  • Basic machine shop skills preferred
  • Electrical wiring, soldering, and plumbing experience is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, chemicals, and moving machinery
  • Must be able to wear required PPE
