  • This position involves both technical and administrative responsibilities focused on maintaining data integrity and security, including developing policies, monitoring systems, and protecting against unauthorized access or data loss. It also includes overseeing disaster recovery efforts, conducting vulnerability assessments, and performing risk reviews.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field or equivalent experience in network administration preferred
  • CCNA (Cisco Certified Netowrk Associate), Security+ certification required
  • Certified Information Systems security Professional (CISSP) certification preferred

Special Knowledge/Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of the Texas Cybersecurity Strategic Plan, NIST standard and cybersecurity mandates.

Minimum Experience:
  • At least four years' experience in information security, risk management, or compliance, preferably within a school district environment.
