As a Senior Associate, Data Science, you will be part of Alcon's Analytics & Intelligence function, focused on leveraging advanced analytics to transform the eye care industry. This is an onsite role based at our Fort Worth, Texas Main Campus.
Role Overview
In this role, you will design and build data science solutions that transform complex structured and unstructured data into actionable insights for business process improvement. You will apply Machine Learning, Operations Research, Large Language Models (LLMs), and advanced analytics to solve business challenges, drive innovation, and enhance decision-making across the organization.
In this role, a typical day will include:
  • Develop and test various analytics models such as Machine Learning, Mathematical Optimization and advanced analytics approaches to solve business problems
  • Leverage LLMs and Agentic AI to automate end-to-end analytics, uncover insights from complex data, and drive faster, data-driven decisions.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, insights, and optimization opportunities
  • Contribute to model selection, data preparation, and analytical frameworks
  • Work with senior data scientists and business partners to align solutions to business needs
  • Deliver data-driven recommendations that improve operational and strategic decisions
  • Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Recommend improvements to tools, processes, and methodologies
  • Balance business requirements, stakeholder needs, and technical constraints to deliver scalable solutions

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs.; Assoc.+6 yrs.; M.S.+0 yrs.)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • 2 Years of Relevant Experience

Preferred requirements:
  • 2 Years of Relevant Experience in Mathematical Optimization Models (e.g., Linear Programing, Linear Programming, Meta-Heuristics) and Machine Learning techniques,
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages including Python and SQL.
  • Experience with mathematical solver, such as CPLEX or Gurobi
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI, etc.
  • Experience with using cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to translate technical insights into actionable business recommendations
  • Experience managing data pipelines and model maintenance and registry
