Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides individual, group and/or family therapy in an outpatient setting
  • Conducts comprehensive assessments, develops treatment plans and implements evidenced-based interventions
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory and ethical standards
  • Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, including medical, psychiatry, case management andย peer recovery services
  • Utilizes a trauma-informed person-centered and culturally competent approach to client care
  • Facilitates group therapy utilizing evidence-based curriculaย ย 
  • Develop client-centered treatment plans based on the needs, strengths, abilities and preferences of the clientย 
  • Assists clients in crisis by evaluating and providing appropriate interventions
  • Engages family and supportive others in treatment, transition and discharge planning processes
  • Evaluates clientsโ€™ progress towards goals, utilizes motivational enhancement strategies and determines appropriate interventions/modalities based on the individualized needs of each client
  • Promotes participation in self-help and recovery support groups
  • Maintains strong clinical and ethical boundaries with clients
  • Must be licensed in the State of Ohio โ€“LCDC II or LCDC III, LSW, LPC, LISW, or LPCC.
  • Associates or Bachelorโ€™s degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related Human Service Field or equivalency.
  • Bachelor or Masterโ€™s Degree with LPC or LSW Licensure preferred.
  • Knowledge of the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual) and ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) criteria.
  • Knowledge of and experience in diagnostic assessments, cognitive behavioral therapeutic modalities and trauma-informed care.
  • Adopts a harm reduction philosophy and supports the utilization of medication-assisted treatments as a best practice.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications, including Office Suite, Outlook and Teams.
  • Adept at learning and navigating electronic health record systems.
