Job description

Crossroads Youth & Family Services, Inc. is seeking Early Head Start Teachers for its Strothers location in Seminole County. The Early Head Start Teacher is responsible for creating and managing an attractive, warm, and challenging learning environment for young children, incorporating developmentally appropriate learning activities which meet the needs of the group as well as those of individual children.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in early childhood education, Child Development or related degree with six (6) class in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Childhood Development (CD); OR
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent

License:

  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have access to a motor vehicle with acceptable liability insurance
  • CPR certified (preferred)

Knowledge:

  • Must be computer literate and have accurate typing skills as well as the ability to operate a variety of office equipment;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal and analytical skills required;
  • Community resources, methods and practices of health and safety precautions, providing age-appropriate education services and facilitating family involvement in program services;
  • Ability to comply with Head Start Performance Standards.
