Job Summary:
Under general supervision, the position is responsible for driving recruitment activities within a given business unit or functional area. The incumbent works with hiring managers and HRBPs to address workforce and staffing needs, serve as a valuable brand ambassador for J.B. Hunt, sell J.B. Hunt's compensation and benefits packages, and advise on pay/salary and recruiting best practices.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee candidate sourcing process and talent pipeline by interviewing candidates, reviewing question responses, and using discretion to determine whether to move them forward in the process.
• Initiate requisition creation and approval process • Interview, assess and refer candidates to appropriate employment positions • Investigate non-compete/non-solicitation agreements
• Advise hiring managers on pay/salary and recommend recruiting strategies and tactics that support the goals and direction of J.B. Hunt
• Extend offers of employment and negotiate offer components within predetermined parameters, with hiring manager approval
• Manage, plan, and facilitate recruiting activities such as: job fairs, advertising, company information sharing and interview days
• Participate in departmental staffing meetings and share data on candidate activity and recruiting progress; report regularly on recruiting activity, tactics, strategy, shortcomings and successes and provide information to help hiring managers and influence workforce planning decisions
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective candidates utilizing basic sourcing and recruiting strategies
• Communicate regularly and partner with other internal departments, business units and senior management to build relationships across the organization and ensure the effective implementation of recruiting policies
• Collaborate as needed with HR Centers of Expertise and HR Operations to ensure that recruiting services are delivered effectively and efficiently
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Business Administration/Management, Communications, Psychology, or related field OR 2+ years combination of relevant education, experience and training
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management, Communications, Psychology, or related field with 2-4 years of recruiting experience, education, and training

Compensation:
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company's bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
