About the Role:
Haynes Kessler Myers and Postalakis is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join their team in Worthington, OH. This is an exciting opportunity to play a meaningful role in supporting clients through some of life's most important legal matters. Responsibilities:
  • Assist attorneys with all phases of family law cases including divorce, custody, support, and adoption matters
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, pleadings, motions, and correspondence
  • Manage and organize case files, deadlines, and court calendars
  • Conduct legal research and compile relevant case information
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a professional manner
  • Prepare and file documents with Ohio courts, including e-filing
  • Support attorneys during trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness materials
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in family law or domestic relations
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Paralegal certification (CP, FCP, or similar) is a plus
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software
  • Strong knowledge of Ohio family law procedures and court filing requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under deadlines
  • Compassionate and professional demeanor when working with clients in sensitive situations
