Job Description:
The DHS CBP Program Management Office Directorate (PMOD) serves as the Independent Test Authority (ITA) for CBP acquisition programs and requires comprehensive systems engineering and test and evaluation (T&E) support. SimIS seeks a Data Collector/Analyst responsible for collecting, validating, and analyzing test data from border security systems across diverse operational environments. This role combines field data collection activities with sophisticated statistical analysis to support evidence-based recommendations for technology deployment and system optimization. The position requires expertise in data collection methodologies, statistical analysis, and the ability to work in challenging field conditions while maintaining data integrity and quality.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related analytical field
  • Minimum 3 years of data collection and analysis experience, preferably in field testing environments
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DHS suitability background check
  • Ability to work in challenging field conditions across diverse terrains
  • Ability to travel to remote border locations for extended periods
  • 25% travel required
Technical Skills:
  • Statistical analysis software proficiency (R, SPSS, SAS, or equivalent)
