Position Overview:
Ladgov Corporation is seeking a qualified Data Analysis & Computing Tutor to provide evening academic support to cadets at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. The tutor will assist students in mastering data literacy, programming, and analysis skills to enhance their academic performance and prepare them for technical leadership roles.

Job Title: Data Analysis & Computing Tutor
Location: U.S. Coast Guard Academy, New London, CT 06320
Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Fall & Spring Sessions)

Subjects Covered:

  • Data Analysis & Visualization

  • Principles of Programming

  • Tools for Business Intelligence

Tasks:

  • Deliver individualized and group tutoring services to cadets at the designated evening hours.

  • Clarify programming concepts, software tools, and data analysis techniques to enhance cadet understanding.

  • Help cadets prepare for assignments, projects, quizzes, and exams by offering practical strategies and review sessions.

  • Track attendance, session notes, and academic trends in coordination with the Academic Resource Center staff.

  • Collaborate with instructors and ARC personnel to ensure tutoring aligns with course objectives and expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Computer Science, Data Science, or a closely related field

  • Minimum 1 year of tutoring or teaching experience in a higher education setting
