Position Overview
Keep our communities fed.
Our focus is simple but meaningful, from our distribution centers to our offices - every employee of C&S and their family of companies works to help feed local families, neighbors and communities. As a Cross Dock, you will use an electric pallet jack to load, unload and move materials onto trucks for shipment out of a warehouse facility. In this role, you will ensure there is flow of pallets from the staging area to the correct doors, and ensure load quality.

  • Earn $22.00 per hour
  • Full Time, 2nd Shift
  • Schedule - TBD
  • 500 North St Windsor Locks, CT 06096

You will contribute by:
  • Operating an electric riding pallet jack
  • Assisting in unloading cross dock trailers
  • Ensuring the flow of pallets from the staging area to their appropriate doors is being accomplished
  • Loading, unloading, and moving materials onto trucks for shipment out of warehouse facility
  • Monitoring pallet construction and ensuring load quality
  • Prioritizing work within your assigned zone
  • Other duties as assigned by your supervisor

What's a great way to stay in shape?
  • Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift
  • Walking various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc.
  • Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more
  • Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead
  • Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height
  • Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools
