What You'll Do

  • Operate a CDL B rear-load garbage truck on assigned residential collection routes.
  • Pull and position rolling carts for collection using a semi-automated lift system
  • Operate hydraulic controls to safely empty carts and containers into the truck
  • Exit the truck frequently to collect additional waste, recycling and bulk items
  • Ride safely on the rear step between collection points as required
  • Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Use in-truck technology (tablet) for route management and communication
  • Haul collected materials to disposal and recycling facilities
  • Follow all company safety policies and DOT regulations
  • Interact professionally with customers and the public

What We're Looking For

  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake endorsement required
  • Good driving record
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical and pre-employment and random drug screen (including marijuana)
  • Minimum one year of driving experience preferred
  • Waste industry or rear-load collection experience preferred
