POSITION SPECIFICS
The Department of Finance of The Pennsylvania State University (University Park) seeks to fill a non-tenure-line faculty position at the Assistant Teaching Professor or Associate Teaching Professor level. Rank and salary depend on experience and record of achievement. The appointment is a non-renewable one-year contract beginning in August 2026. Candidates must contribute to the mission of the Smeal College of Business and the Department of Finance in the areas of teaching, research, and service. The candidate must effectively teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels; engage in service activities commensurate with their rank; and contribute to the collegial and intellectual atmosphere of the department. A reduced teaching load supports research collaboration with Smeal College faculty.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must have a PhD. in Finance or a closely related field. Also required is an established research agenda targeting top academic journals in finance and evidence of effective teaching.
