Job description

ROLE OVERVIEW
The Associate, Project Finance role supports the financing of Pivot Energy's projects. This position will manage data rooms and diligence trackers to coordinate deliverables with internal departments. In addition, this individual will support Managers and Directors in financial closings with external stakeholders and financing parties. This position will be a part of a fun and dynamic team while being exposed to capital raise and deal structuring endeavors, developing a deep understanding of renewable project financing.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitor development and construction activities and perform due diligence reviews and data room management while highlighting potential risks and formulating mitigation strategies to ensure timely project financings.
  • Maintain project financing infrastructure on Smartsheet, Egnyte, and Salesforce by managing data between platforms and refining tools/processes to support reports and other analysis.
  • Support transaction managers by working across project teams to ensure data rooms and diligence sites are complete, regularly updated, and accessible for lenders and investors.
  • Review, prioritize, and coordinate development and construction deliverables with internal teams.
  • Support the Project Finance Team in conducting comprehensive due diligence reviews, highlighting potential risks, and formulating mitigation strategies.
  • Represent the Project Finance team on internal project teams and discussions.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in project finance, investment banking, M&A, or similar position.
  • Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision, who is not afraid to ask questions, and who can take on tasks outside of their comfort zone.
  • Ability to operate effectively and independently in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments, across multiple work streams and with multiple stakeholders.
  • Project management, organizational, and analytical skills with the ability to complete detailed tasks while supporting multiple work streams simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of learning new concepts and skills quickly.
  • Positive attitude and ability to enhance the company's reputation through interpersonal interactions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.

PREFERRED COMPETENCIES
  • Experience with renewable project financing and/or transaction management.
  • Experience with major project contracts review in the renewable energy and/or construction sectors.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel-based financial modeling.
  • Experience with Smartsheet.

$60,000 - $95,000 a year
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The estimated base salary range for this position is $60,000 - $95,000 depending on relevant experience, along with eligibility for the company's substantial bonus plan, with a target bonus of 30% of annual salary (prorated in first year based on start date).
