Columbus Distributing Company is a family-owned sales and service corporation proudly distributing Anheuser-Busch, Yuengling, craft, and imported beers throughout Franklin County, Ohio. We are seeking a reliable and detail-orientedAccounting Assistant to support the daily operations of our Accounting Department. This role is responsible for assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, data entry, and other general accounting functions while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and committed to accuracy, with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. This position offers the opportunity to gain experience across a variety of accounting functions while working collaboratively with departments throughout the organization.

  • Assist with daily accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including processing invoices and recording payments.
  • Prepare, verify, and process invoices while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures.
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry of financial information into accounting systems.
  • Maintain organized and secure electronic and physical accounting records and files.
  • Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account balances in a professional manner.
  • Assist with account reconciliations, audits, month-end activities, and other accounting projects as assigned.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and support daily financial operations.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
