  • Provide hands-on review and quality control, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP and Troon's internal controls and standard operating procedures.
  • Supervise and support a small team of accountants, including onboarding, task guidance, review feedback, training, and ongoing performance coaching.
  • Serve as the primary accounting liaison to operations leaders, responding to inquiries, explaining financial results, and supporting alignment between financial reporting and business activities.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve accounting issues and variances, escalating matters appropriately to the Accounting Manager when needed.
  • Support annual external audits and assist with internal audit fieldwork by preparing documentation and responding to audit requests.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities, including data preparation, review of assumptions, and variance analysis.
  • Analyze financial performance, highlight significant variances, and provide clear, actionable insights to accounting management and operations stakeholders.
  • Participate in finance committee meetings as needed, presenting financial information and addressing questions related to accounting results.
  • Lead accounting onboarding and transitions for newly acquired or onboarded facilities, ensuring accurate setup and smooth integration into existing processes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Legal, and other internal partners to ensure policy adherence and consistent accounting treatment.
  • Conduct periodic visits to clubs and facilities to support onboarding, relationship building, and operational alignment.
  • Serves as a primary presenter for financial results and analyses in client-facing meetings, confidently delivering complex information, addressing questions, and tailoring messaging to diverse audiences.
