General Purpose
Bring your organizational skills and attention to detail to a role where you'll play a key part in keeping transportation operations running smoothly. As an Associate Transport Administrator, you will support a wide range of administrative functions, from maintaining vehicle and equipment records to coordinating procurement for new vehicles and mobile equipment. In this role, you'll also help ensure compliance with licensing and permitting requirements while contributing to the overall administration and success of transportation programs.
Responsibilities
  • Assists other transport personnel with various internal, external, and regulatory ad hoc and pre-determined reports
  • Assists with the transportation of new vehicles and equipment utilizing internal and external resources
  • Administers preventive maintenance program in SAP
  • Provides internal and external customer service by providing accurate and timely information through the department's shared mailbox responding to various requests
  • Maintains department intranet site
  • Processes and audits signature invoices and assists with department credit card reconciliation
  • Assists with other regulatory tasks including vehicle registration renewals and licensing
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in an applicable field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with the use of personal computers including spreadsheet, database, word processing, and presentation applications to gather, analyze, and model information.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills include the ability to consult with internal and external customers regarding matters/issues which may be sensitive in nature.
  • Ability to work with all levels of an organization including people with different styles and backgrounds; ability to present alternatives and recommendations.
  • Knowledge of applicable company policies and procedures; applicable federal, state, and local governmental laws and regulations. Project management skills include leadership, scheduling, and task follow-through to insure project completion.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of equipment inspections - including, but not limited to repeated bending, lifting, reaching, and squatting.
  • Familiarity with maintenance and repair requirements of light duty vehicles, heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
Preferences
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
  • Three years' experience performing relevant work in the automotive/transportation administration industry.
