Description and Requirements
General Description: Outside sales position. Serves the unique insurance needs of high net worth personal risk clients. Establishes new client pipeline and cross-sells from other USI lines of business.
Responsibilities:
  • Achieve annualized new business sales goal of $100k in our target market.
  • Meet new business activity and quality appointment goals. Identify and overcome obstacles on a prospect-specific basis.
  • Understand the needs and concerns of high net worth clients. Offer consultative, customized solutions tailored to their individual needs.
  • insurance buyer.
  • Understand and explain USI's competitive differentiation to clients and prospects. Create customized work product samples for prospects.
  • Develop sales business plan and use effective prospecting strategies.
  • Take part in national Personal Risk meetings and video conference calls.
  • Engage in meetings on earning and preparing for first appointments.
  • Pursue cross-selling opportunities to enhance prospect and client relationships.
  • Oversee preparation of proposals for Personal Risk Management clients and prospects. Present personalized insurance programs to prospective clients.
  • Use USI's contact management and sales automation tool to support sales processes. Input timely and accurate information to facilitate sales and revenue projections.
  • Positively represent USI in meetings, seminars, trade shows and networking events.
  • Work collaboratively with account management team and other staff.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • 3-5 years in High Net Worth or personal insurance sales or service.
  • Must hold a personal lines insurance license. College degree preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of personal risk insurance coverages.
  • Personable, highly motivated and goal-oriented. Driven to achieve individual sales goals.
  • Superior communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
  • A consultative, positive and resourceful approach to dealing with prospect, clients and associates.
  • Excellent listening skills with strong customer focus.
  • Ability to deal with senior level management and have a top-level executive presence.
