The mission of the Workplace Safety & Health Department is to uphold industry-leading best practices to prevent the occurrence of serious workplace injuries and illnesses.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Aritzia is growing and our Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) team is growing with it. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the team responsible for the design, execution, and maintenance of industry-leading health and safety practices to protect our people at our Distribution Centers (DCs). You will play a pivotal role in demonstrating the value of WSH to the business and external stakeholders while identifying and implementing strategic improvements to WSH practices across our DC operations. THE ROLE

As the Senior Director/Director, Workplace Safety & Health, DC, you will lead the team to:

  • Work with the appropriate Business Support partners to seamlessly lead the day-to-day function of the department in support of corporate objectives, while enabling progressive career development and an incredible employee experience
  • Establish Aritzia's approach to Workplace Safety & Health
  • Minimize the impacts associated with hazards in our spaces
  • Assess the compliance of the workplace safety & health program
  • Minimize the impacts associated with emergencies in our spaces
  • Respond to incidents quickly and effectively
  • Manage, maintain, and monitor WSH risk

THE QUALIFICATIONS

The Senior Director/Director, Workplace Safety & Health, DC, has:

  • Proven and best-in-class skills, applicable certifications, education and/or experience in Workplace Safety & Health with a focus on Distribution Centers (DCs)
  • A commitment to learn, apply, champion and enrich Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principles
  • The skills to collaborate strategically with cross-functional partners in the pursuit of shared business outcomes
  • The ability to set clear objectives and design a strategy that inspires the team

THE COMPENSATION

At Aritzia, we provide market-leading compensation packages designed to reward impact through our pay-for-performance philosophy.

The range for roles at this level is $200,000 - $400,000 CAD per year. Total compensation may include base, bonus and/or equity depending on the role, which has the potential to be greater than this range.
