Associate, Media Relations Game Night - $16.37 per hour
Position Summary: The Associate, Media Relations Game Night role supports media operations throughout the season and during all Minnesota Wild home games by managing press box setup and producing department materials. The ideal candidate would be a current undergraduate or recent graduate pursuing a full-time career in athletic communications/media relations.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
  • Manage press box set up and clean up for all Wild home games.
    • Ensure proper materials such as stats and game notes are produced and available for media in press box, welcome cards and seating charts, media guides and water in broadcast booths, etc.
  • Responsible for production of game-day line charts.
  • Support in the writing and distribution of team materials including Postgame Notes, Prospects Report, Wild Week, game notes, Team Guide and Playoff Guide as needed.
  • Assist in the distribution of single game media credentials at the arena media entrance as needed.
  • Help the department track media coverage.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
Formal Education & Certification:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or related field or equivalent experience (Junior or Senior preferred).

Knowledge & Experience:
  • Proficient computer skills with ability to use Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Adobe InDesign.
  • Knowledge of hockey preferred.

Personal Attributes:
  • Attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Results-oriented with proven ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to handle sensitive information responsibly.
  • Ability to work well independently within a team and results oriented environment.

Work Conditions:
  • Must be able to work all home games during the 2026-2027 Minnesota Wild season.
  • Physical requirements include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, etc.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
