Description and Requirements
USI is growing and adding a Commercial Lines Senior Casualty Consultant to our team! This role can be fully remote for candidates located within our Central Region states: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, and Nebraska.
General Description: Provides expert technical support to clients and members of USI's Commercial Lines Account Management and Sales Executive teams to analyze, design, market, price and place risks. Makes fact-based recommendations to clients to solve their most complex insurance issues.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance, coaching and development to Casualty Analytics team.
  • Make recommendations for improvement.
  • Assess clients' contractual liabilities and alignment with their insurance policies and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Recognize trends and create client-facing summaries modeling policy options.
  • Support Sales Executives in providing data and proposals for prospective clients.
  • risk profile using analytical models and resources.
  • Negotiate underwriting terms and pricing with carrier underwriting partners on behalf of clients.

  • Work closely with claims and risk control team to develop new loss control strategies, ideas and processes.
  • Take part in recruiting efforts and train new hires.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • 5+ years of Commercial Lines agency and/or carrier experience with strong underwriting, marketing, and technical insurance expertise. Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of placement/marketing experience working with large commercial accounts ($1M+ in annual premium).
  • Must hold or be willing to obtain a Property & Casualty insurance license.
  • Industry designation such as ARM, CIC, CPCU preferred.
  • Deep technical knowledge of commercial insurance coverages, markets, and underwriting principles.
  • Strong business acumen, negotiation, analytical, and data interpretation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with carriers, producers, and internal partners.
  • Comfortable utilizing internet-based applications and Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of Sagitta and/or ImageRight preferred, but not required.

Salary Range: $130,000.00 - $145,000
