About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Sales Associate to join our team in Illinois. In this dynamic hybrid role, you will serve as the first point of contact for customers: providing exceptional service, product recommendations, and support throughout the sales process. In addition to customer-facing responsibilities, you will assist with administrative, purchasing, and operational tasks to help keep our office and sales operations running smoothly.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working cross-functionally, is highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers professionally in person and over the phone
  • Recommend products based on customer needs and provide accurate information
  • Enter and process sales orders in collaboration with the sales team
  • Assist with purchasing tasks, including placing and receiving supplier orders
  • Follow up on customer quotes and inquiries promptly
  • Resolve customer issues courteously and professionally
  • Support sales operations including quoting, email communications, and inside sales tasks
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth paperwork and communication
  • Maintain and order office and warehouse supplies
  • Keep the office clean, organized, and efficient

Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Additional education in business, administration, or sales (preferred)
  • 3 plus years' experience in sales support, customer service, or office administration preferred
  • Familiarity with order entry systems, inventory software, or ERP tools
  • Experience in a warehouse, distribution, or office environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized with strong time management abilities
  • Customer-focused with a professional demeanor
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Team-oriented and able to work cross-functionally
