Job Description:
The Digital Services Engineer will be a forward-thinking innovator who shapes next-generation industrial solutions, combining expertise in IIoT technologies with the ability to translate customer needs into groundbreaking Industry 4.0 applications. This key role bridges traditional industrial systems with emerging technologies to architect transformative solutions that drive our digital future.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Digital Solutions Development and Integration
  • Design and implement innovative Industry 4.0 solutions incorporating emerging technologies in collaboration with customers and internal teams
  • Integrate digital service tools with existing enterprise systems while ensuring seamless compatibility and functionality
  • Configure and deploy IIoT hardware systems in partnership with equipment engineering teams

Technical Operations and Maintenance
  • Troubleshoot IIoT solutions, including databases, Linux operating systems, virtualization, containers, communication protocols
  • Diagnose and resolve PLC programming issues related to data collection services
  • Perform controlled modifications to PLC programs on operational equipment

User Experience and Customer Success
  • Apply UX design principles and customer feedback to enhance application and website user experiences
  • Research and develop customer focused solutions to improve productivity, operational efficiency, and time to recovery
  • Serve as liaison between digital services and equipment engineering teams to ensure alignment on customer-centric solutions

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, robotics, IT, or a related field
  • 3-4 years of experience in digital and/or industrial controls products (HMIs, PLCs, websites, databases)
  • Experience in multicultural and global working environments

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
  • Strong understanding of IoT solutions and market requirements
  • Industrial controls engineering experience - PLCs, HMIs, I/O, communication protocols
  • Proficiency with Linux systems, containerization, and virtualization is a plus
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 10% of time)
