This position involves analyzing business processes, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing secure software and hardware systems in alignment with established development life cycles. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver robust security measures, ensure system reliability, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The engineer will provide expert guidance, manage code and configuration changes, and contribute to the overall security posture while upholding company values and operational standards.
About the team:
The Walmart-VIZIO DevSecOps team partners with Embedded Software, Platform, Cloud, and DevOps groups to secure millions of connected TV devices and cloud services. The team develops scalable security frameworks, enforces secure development standards, and ensures regulatory compliance. They automate security validations via CI/CD pipelines and guide engineering teams on secure coding and vulnerability management. Collaborating with DevOps and incident response, they design resilient architectures and conduct threat modeling and security assessments. The team manages open-source license compliance and uses modern tools to automate audits, produce Software Bill of Materials, and uphold high security standards across embedded and cloud platforms.
What you'll do:
  • Provide advanced support for engineering security services by troubleshooting, resolving issues, and maintaining code and configurations using version control.
  • Analyze systems and business processes to design and implement effective security solutions aligned with technical and business requirements.
  • Lead technical design, development, testing, and debugging of security programs and scripts following established system development life cycle processes.
  • Monitor system performance, alerts, and vulnerabilities, implementing improvements and maintaining third-party software and hardware changes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions while communicating status updates and technical findings to stakeholders.
