The (USA) Staff, Software Engineer is a hands - on individual contributor responsible for designing, building, and operating Walmart's core transportation platform. This role combines technical leadership with software delivery, requiring engineers to write production code, lead architectural decisions, and own complex initiatives from design through deployment. The ideal candidate is a versatile full stack engineer with approximately 60% backend and 40% frontend experience across distributed systems, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and modern web applications. About the team

Our team builds and operates Walmart's core transportation platform that supports the global supply chain by connecting suppliers, carriers, and internal operations at massive scale. We develop cloud-native, full-stack solutions that manage the complete freight lifecycle—from planning and execution through tracking, settlement, and carrier experience for both private fleet and third-party transportation.

We embrace AI native engineering and intelligent automation to accelerate software delivery and simplify complex logistics workflows. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications
