BRAND STRATEGIST ASSOCIATE

Dunham, is an independently owned, registered Broker/Dealer and Investment Adviser helping Financial Advisors and individual investors reach their long-term goals. The firm's focus is on providing disciplined wealth management solutions and related services.
Position Summary
The Brand Strategist Associate plays a hybrid role at the intersection of brand strategy, marketing execution, and visual design. This person will help shape and maintain consistent brand voice and identity across Dunham's three entities while also producing the marketing collateral, campaigns, and design assets that bring that brand to life. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable thinking strategically about positioning and rolling up their sleeves to design a one-pager, build an email campaign, or edit a PowerPoint deck. This is a 40-hour per week onsite position in our San Diego office.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy
  • Support development and stewardship of brand guidelines, voice, and visual identity across all three Dunham entities
  • Ensure brand consistency across web, print, presentations, and digital channels
  • Assist with competitive positioning research and messaging frameworks
  • Partner with the Director of Marketing to translate business goals into brand-aligned campaigns
Marketing & Communications
  • Draft and coordinate marketing collateral, email campaigns, and sales enablement materials for the sales team and occasionally for financial advisors, and RIAs
  • Support product marketing efforts (one-pagers, trifolds, info sheets, case studies) for Dunham products and services
  • Assist with internal communications, conference/event planning, and materials
  • Coordinate with compliance to ensure all client and advisor facing materials meet regulatory requirements
  • Help manage content calendars and project timelines across multiple concurrent initiatives
Graphic Design
  • Design print and digital assets including brochures, info sheets, email signatures, presentation templates, and event signage
  • Maintain and apply brand style guides (color palettes, typography, iconography) across all materials
  • Create custom graphics, icons, and layouts for product marketing and conference collateral
  • Prepare print-ready files and manage vendor coordination for physical materials
  • On going updates to existing and necessary marketing collateral - monthly, quarterly, yearly, and on an as-needed basis

Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field
  • Experience in marketing, brand, or design roles (financial services experience a plus)
  • Proficiency in design tools (Adobe Creative Suite - Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premier, and/or Canva)
  • Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail, tone, clarity, and brand voice
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (advanced skills with PowerPoint a plus)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, pick up and own ad-hoc projects
Preferred:
  • Experience in financial services, RIA, or wealth management marketing
  • Familiarity with compliance-driven content review processes
  • Basic HTML/CSS knowledge (for email signatures, web assets)
  • Experience with video/short-form content creation

Salary DOE: $28.85 per hour to $36.05 per hour
