The Senior Workplace Planning Consultant delivers comprehensive retirement and financial wellness advice and education to participants within employer-sponsored plans, guiding them through key decision points that influence their long-term financial success. In this role, associates demonstrate strong planning acumen, confidently guide participants through managed account solutions, and deepen relationships through proactive, personalized engagements that support overall financial well-being. The successful Consultant likes helping customers achieve their retirement goals, is a self-starter with excellent organizational skills, and has a competitive personality. Must be upbeat, ambitious, and enjoy a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include both inbound and outbound calls and require excellent follow-through with those they are assisting. What you will do * Cultivate relationships with customers by delivering personalized service and respond to a variety of plan and policy-related questions by exhibiting listening, patience, empathy, authenticity, proactivity and perseverance * Relay accurate information and provide clear and concise communication of policies and procedures * Retain assets through education and guidance of available plan specific and general distribution options * Engage in a dialogue to educate customers in making informed distribution decisions and the advantages of participation in a company sponsored retirement plan or an individual retirement account versus the tax implications of taking receipt of the proceeds from their retirement investments * Deliver optimal solutions to customers in every interaction * Engage with peers in the organization to problem solve and deliver results * Use innovative tools and services to find the best options and strategies to help customers with their retirement-planning needs * Meet monthly and annual sales and service goals What you will bring * Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional work experience * 2+ years of experience in financial services, retirement planning, or advisory environments * Demonstrated success in sales * Good understanding of IRAs, retirement investment products/services and the qualified retirement plan environment * Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities and ability to handle stressful situations and people on a daily basis * Good working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) and various file manipulation skills on a PC * Ability to quickly learn Empower's record keeping system, Salesforce software * FINRA 7 & 66 (or 63 & 65) registrations required * FINRA fingerprinting upon hire What will set you apart * Strong consulting skills * Motivated, self-starter with the ability to learn new information quickly and independently * Strong written, verbal and presentation skills ***Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa currently, including CPT/OPT.*** What we offer you We offer an array of diverse and inclusive benefits regardless of where you are in your career. BRGs are open to all. Base Salary Range $65,600.00 - $92,675.00 The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed.
