The position combines market coverage, manager relationship development, investment underwriting, portfolio monitoring, and selective client engagement.Key Responsibilities:- Lead core aspects of deal origination, screening, and underwriting for North American buyout and growth equity fund opportunities, supporting the team in identifying attractive managers and investment themes.- Shared coverage of U.S. primaries, with particular focus on technology, the West Coast, and impact, while developing informed views on market trends, manager pipelines, and sector dynamics.- Source opportunities and build relationships with both established and emerging managers, maintaining active dialogue with sponsors and industry participants.- Support the evaluation and execution of new fund opportunities through diligence, financial and qualitative analysis, investment memoranda preparation, and internal recommendation processes.- Help originate co-investment and secondary opportunities through existing GP relationships, ensuring strong coordination across adjacent investment strategies.- Collaborate closely with co-investment, secondary, and credit colleagues to coordinate coverage, share diligence insights, and present a cohesive approach to GP relationship management.Qualifications: 2-4 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or a related field.
