Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented OPSEC Planner -Senior to join our team! In this role you will get to integrate Operations Security (OPSEC) into Operations in the Information Environment (OIE) to protect friendly intentions, capabilities, and vulnerabilities while enabling effective influence and information-related activities.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Ensures OPSEC considerations are embedded across campaign design, planning, execution, and assessment in support of J39 objectives during competition, crisis, and conflict.

  • Identifies and manages critical information (CI) across the physical, informational, and human dimensions of the operational environment, assessing how friendly actions, communications, and behaviors may expose vulnerabilities.

  • Conducts OPSEC assessments to evaluate risk associated with operational activities and information disclosure, providing risk-informed recommendations to commanders and planners.

  • Advises J39 leadership, planners, and Information Forces on OPSEC countermeasures that protect critical capabilities without undermining desired OIE effects.

  • Collaborates closely with OIE planners, MISO/PSYOP teams, MILDEC planners, electromagnetic spectrum operations (EMSO), and cyber forces to synchronize OPSEC with influence, deception, and multi-domain operations.

  • Analyzes adversary collection capabilities, technical means, and information exploitation threats to anticipate how opponents detect, interpret, and exploit friendly actions in the information environment.

  • Ensures OPSEC considerations are incorporated into wargames, exercises, contingency operations, and deliberate campaign planning, supporting realistic testing of assumptions and risk.

  • Develops and delivers OPSEC training and awareness to reinforce discipline and risk-informed decision-making across the staff and mission partners, ensuring OPSEC remains an enabler of operational advantage, not a constraint on effective OIE.

  • Bachelors degree and 13+ years experience. Years of comparable experience can be used in lieu of degree. (HS diploma 17+ years, Associates 15+ years, Masters 10+ years)
  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI clearance or higher
