This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Drafter - Small Utility Services to join our Power & Energy team in Tyler, TX.
The candidate will be involved in projects with our Small Utility Services team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients' objectives and solves their challenges.

Takes part in providing technical design and CADD support on projects to produce designs and specifications used for utility system planning, infrastructure, and construction. Tasks may include generating CADD designs on assigned aspects of projects of basic to moderate scale and complexity. Generates accurate and concise design deliverables including plans, drawings, models, details, and supporting documentation. Ensures that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards for design accuracy and functionality.
Your Impact
  • Support engineers, designers, and project teams with drafting and design activities related to utility system projects.
  • Develop construction drawings and design deliverables from concept through construction.
  • Prepare and modify drawings using AutoCAD and other drafting tools.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to incorporate markups and revisions into design documents.
  • Maintain drawing accuracy and ensure adherence to client and company drafting standards.
  • Collect and organize data from specifications, sketches, field notes, and other sources to support drafting efforts.
  • Assist with formatting and producing technical documentation and drawing packages.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable standards, project requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in project coordination efforts with internal teams and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Learn and apply new software, tools, and drafting standards as required.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, initiative, and commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

  • Associate's degree in drafting, engineering technology, or related field; or equivalent industry experience.

Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $49,600.00 - $81,800.00
