System Engineer

Target Salary: $85K to $95K

LOCATION: DLIFLC, 1759 Lewis Road, Monterey, CA 93944

Position Overview:

The person in this position will serve in the datacenter support group, which includes the responsibilities of proper configuration and support of domain system servers, SAN, NAS, backup systems, identity management, and security of the datacenter.

Job Duties:

  • The duties will include managing development/sustainment, staging, and production systems in a hybrid cloud/datacenter environment. The duties will include planning, installation, maintenance during or after-work hours, troubleshooting, and managing all System servers and applications.

Job Requirements:

  • Educational requirements include BA/BS from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 5+ years' experience or substitute with AA/AS with 7+ years' experience, or substitute with 9+ years' experience serving as a system administrator
  • Must have experience with Microsoft O365, VMWare, Vsphere and NsX-T, Linux Red Hat, Windows Server, SQL, MySQL, EMC SAN technologies and applications, Active Directory, AWS or Microsoft Azure.
  • Require having deep technical knowledge: Expertise in operating systems (Windows and Linux), networking protocols, storage technologies, cloud computing platforms, and security best practices.
  • Must have problem-solving skills: Strong analytical abilities to diagnose complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Must have experience maintaining a high availability hybrid data centers.
  • Computing Environment/Operating System Certification: Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate

Required to Start Qualifications:

  • IAT Level II Certification is required to Start (CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) Certification
  • A NACLC Public Trust Clearance is required to Start.
