Job description

Job Summary
We are currently seeking a CNC Programmer Specialist for our Macomb, MI Location.
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Responsible for creating complex mill programs for aerospace gears and housings using Mastercam.
  • Responsible for specifying/determining the most efficient cutting tools for all features being machined.
  • Designing tools and fixtures using Mastercam.
  • Supporting shop floor production
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Associates degree in Manufacturing Technologies
  • Five years' experience (must be recent) using Mastercam
  • Three years 3D modeling experience with Mastercam
  • Experience with simultaneous 5 axis programming
  • Experience with Mill-Turn Programming
  • Must have strong cutting tool knowledge.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Familiarity with basic aerospace measuring tools
  • Working knowledge of GD&T and part detailing
  • Basic Computer Skills: proficient with Microsoft Word & Excel etc.
  • Capable of effectively reading blueprints, specifications, and manufacturing orders
  • Experience creating detailed step by step work instructions and sketches for the manufacture of complex parts

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to remain seated for long periods of time while working on a computer or documentation, etc.
  • Must have manual dexterity to operate computer keyboard and standard office equipment
  • Must be capable of withstanding long period of viewing data on a computer screen and/or paper format
