Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as an Electronic Technician, based out of Rolling Meadows, IL.
This role supports the Infrared Countermeasures (IRCM) Cell, where precision, safety, and adherence to specialized processes are critical.
What you will get to do:
  • Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform routine testing, checkout, troubleshooting, environmental testing, and simple developmental engineering tasks.
  • Perform routine operational tests and fault isolation on production hardware and equipment to ensure conformance with design specifications.
  • Diagnose and isolate malfunctions down to component level.
  • Conduct defined engineering tests and collects data as assigned.
  • Utilize routine development or diagnostic equipment including oscilloscope, DVM, signal generators and similar test apparatus.

Basic Qualifications for the Electronic Technician 2:
  • High School diploma and a minimum of 2 years of electronics experience troubleshooting complex circuits and devices
  • Experience using measuring and monitoring equipment such as oscilloscopes, function/waveform generators, power supplies, multi-meters, current sensors, and probes
  • Experience reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and schematics
  • Current Interim Secret Clearance, or above
  • US Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate of Science degree or higher (or Technical degree) in electronic technology or electronics focused major OR graduate of a two-year, full time electronic technology school or six months of military electronics school
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, & TEAMS)
  • Experience using SAP Manufacturing Execution System (MES) software to document testing performed, enter test results, & create Quality Notifications for any discrepancies found
  • Military experience working with electronic equipment/systems
  • Experience with continuous improvement and process improvement principles

Primary Level Salary Range: $53,500.00 - $89,100.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
