Location: WSU Tech Compensation: $32/hour
Are you passionate about avionics and ready to share your expertise with the next generation of aviation professionals? At WSU Tech, we seek an Adjunct Faculty member in Avionics who can provide top-notch instruction and guidance in this critical area of aerospace technology.
Position Overview:
The Adjunct Faculty in Avionics will be responsible for teaching courses in avionics technology, including but not limited to aircraft electrical systems, communications, navigation systems, and troubleshooting techniques. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of avionics principles and a track record of using their knowledge to foster student achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach theoretical and practical components of the avionics curriculum to prepare students for industry certifications.
  • Facilitate hands-on laboratory experiences that complement classroom instruction and enhance student understanding of avionics systems.
  • Maintain current knowledge in avionics technologies and integrate this knowledge into course content to keep the curriculum relevant.
  • Develop and implement assessment tools to evaluate student performance and progress effectively.
  • Participate in program meetings and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the avionics program.
  • Adhere to safety standards and best practices in all instructional activities.

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Avionics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field preferred. An Associate degree combined with significant industry experience may be considered.
