City : Decatur State : Alabama (US-AL) Country : United States (US) Requisition Number : 44280 A Day in the Life: The Electrical & Instrumentation Technician installs repairs and removes various instruments and their component parts in an efficient manner with respect to safety, quality, and sanitation. They provide skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of production Position Details: Schedule to be determined. Be prepared to work a flexible, 8-, 10-, or 12-hour schedule that will include off shifts and weekends. Pay: $43.25 an hour Bunge offers a variety of benefits including health and wellness plans, retirement contribution and paid vacation/holidays. What You'll Be Doing: Install, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, automated, and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to PLCs, numeral controls, power supplies, drives, gauges and test equipment Conduct electrical planning, preventative maintenance, and programming for process logic control systems (PLC's) platforms, instrumentation, and human-machine interfaces (HMI) Install, repair, and calibrate electronic to pneumatic converters or pneumatic to electronic converters or a combination of both Repair electronic equipment instruments such as ultrasonic, radar, and other conventional level controls Repair electronic equipment instruments such as photo eyes, proximity controls, and associated equipment and controls Repair and calibrate temperature sensing instruments with capillary and bulb, instruments with thermocouple and electric output and resistive temperature detectors (RTD's) Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: 2-3 years of equivalent experience programming, troubleshooting and repairing PLC's (Siemens PCS7/WinnCC, Rockwell/Allen Bradley) and distributive control systems Thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances Comprehension of electrical schematics, blueprints, and P&ID drawing Experienced in different brands of variable frequency drives Experienced with maintenance, set-up, and calibration of all types of process instrumentation Preferred Qualifications: Associate's degree in electrical engineering technology, industrial technology, or journeyman instrument maintenance/electrical technician Experience in AutoCAD Experience with ammonia refrigeration AS-i/Profibus networks At Bunge (NYSE: BG), our purpose is to connect farmers to consumers to deliver essential food, feed and fuel to the world.
