The Senior Manager, Electrical Engineering, leads the execution of complex projects by aligning business plans with operational needs and removing obstacles to performance. This role oversees electrical systems design, prototype development, and sustainability initiatives, ensuring compliance with company standards and policies. The position fosters team development through coaching and mentoring while promoting collaboration across functions. By driving continuous improvement and innovation, the Senior Manager supports Walmart’s commitment to operational excellence, energy efficiency, and delivering value to customers through effective leadership and strategic project management.
About the team:
The team leads enterprise-wide switchgear modernization and primary power conversion initiatives across multiple brands. It drives the national rollout of PSSE and Arc Flash electrical safety programs, ensuring standardized practices. The group owns prototype designs for switchgear, EV charging, and emerging electrical standards, managing electrical engineering projects and providing oversight to the engineering collective. Focused on innovation and operational excellence, the team collaborates to deliver reliable, safe, and efficient electrical systems while supporting continuous improvement and adherence to company policies and standards.
What you'll do:
  • Lead the execution of multiple electrical engineering projects by developing business plans, setting priorities, and removing obstacles to ensure performance goals are met.
  • Supervise and mentor engineering associates, fostering a collaborative team environment and conducting regular performance evaluations.
