    University Assistant - Institutional Advancement (Alumni & Donor Engagement)
    Position Title: University Assistant - Alumni & Donor Engagement
    Department: Alumni & Donor Engagement
    Division: Institutional Advancement
    Supervisor's Title: Associate Vice President for Alumni & Donor Engagement
    This is a temporary, part-time position, which may be renewed at the discretion of the University.
    Hours/Week: 19 hours per week. The UA is expected to work 19 hours per week. The exact schedule will be established between the Supervisor and the successful applicant to meet the needs of the department.

    Position Overview
    The University Assistant provides part-time administrative and programmatic support to the Offices of Alumni Relations, Donor Relations, and Annual Giving within Institutional Advancement.
    Working under the direction of the Associate Vice President for Alumni & Donor Engagement and designated professional staff, the University Assistant assists with day-to-day activities that support alumni engagement initiatives, donor communications, and advancement-related projects. The position contributes to the coordination of engagement efforts that foster meaningful connections between the University and its alumni, donors, students, and campus partners.
    Position Responsibilities
    • Assists with administrative and operational support for alumni relations, donor relations, and annual giving initiatives.
    • Provides limited support for digital and web-based communications, including assisting with content updates and distribution using platforms such as MyEmma, ThankView, Hustle, and the University website, under staff direction.
    • Assists with basic data-related tasks within systems such as Raiser's Edge NXT and other advancement platforms, including data entry, list preparation, and running pre-defined reports, as directed by professional staff.
    • Provides support for Institutional Advancement events, including assisting with event preparation, materials, registration processes, and day-of logistics.
    • Assists with drafting and editing routine communications such as emails, invitations, and short announcements for alumni and donor audiences, subject to review by professional staff.
    • Assists professional staff with coordinating assigned student workers by helping distribute tasks and monitoring completion of routine assignments.
    • May assist professional staff with coordinating the work of student workers as assigned.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned that support the overall goals of Alumni & Donor Engagement.

    Minimum Qualifications Required
    Demonstrated knowledge and ability in the use of personal computer equipment and standard office software such as Microsoft Office Suite. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in writing.
