Job Description

The Associate Director, Business Development is a key leader responsible for owning and orchestrating endtoend pitch execution and ensuring seamless delivery across Connected Media new business opportunities. This role partners closely with senior growth leadership and BD teams to translate strategy into execution, driving highquality outputs, disciplined processes, and effective collaboration across crossfunctional teams.

Operating at the intersection of strategy and execution, the Associate Director is expected to manage both upward and downward, guiding teams, anticipating needs, and proactively solving challenges to keep all pitch workstreams on track. You will be part of a New York-based team and play a critical role in managing pitch workstreams and teams across Connected Media new business efforts.

Responsibilities

OWN AND ORCHESTRATE PITCH EXECUTION

  • Own and drive execution across assigned new business pitches, ensuring alignment to overall strategy
  • Translate pitch strategy into structured timelines, workplans, and deliverables
  • Manage and oversee pitch content development, ensuring clarity, consistency, and quality
  • Actively participate in pitch rooms, rehearsals, and workshops to ensure readiness and delivery excellence
  • Identify risks proactively and implement solutions to maintain momentum and quality

LEAD PITCH WORKSTREAMS AND TEAM DELIVERY

  • Lead daytoday coordination across BD teams, SMEs, and functional partners
  • Anticipate team needs and effectively delegate work across junior team members
  • Ensure all workstreams are aligned, progressing on schedule, and delivering against expectations
  • Provide clear direction and maintain accountability across contributors
  • Manage pitch timelines, dependencies, and outputs to ensure seamless execution

OWN COMMUNICATION AND STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for BD team leadership across assigned opportunities
  • Maintain proactive communication with senior growth leadership, advancing risks when necessary
  • Build strong working relationships internally across media, strategy, data, and creative teams
  • Ensure alignment across partners and consistency of messaging across all deliverables

DRIVE PITCH OPERATIONS, CONTENT, AND DELIVERY

  • Implement pitch delivery plans, ensuring schedules, checkpoints, and breakthroughs are met
  • Coordinate pitch logistics including work sessions, rehearsals, materials, and presentation readiness
  • Partner with design teams to ensure pitch materials are visually strong, polished, and on-brief
  • Support pitch theatre, environments, and experiences to ensure a professional, engaging client impression

COLLABORATION AND TEAM DEVELOPMENT

  • Mentor junior team members, sharing expertise across pitch development and execution
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all pitch outputs and submissions
  • Foster a collaborative, highaccountability working culture across teams
  • Support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across pitch processes
  • Source and maintain best-in-class pitch content, examples, and templates
  • Capture feedback and takeaways from wins and losses to inform future pitch improvements
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of media agency or related experience, with hands-on involvement in business development or pitching
  • Proven experience managing and/or leading new business pitches
  • Strong storytelling, writing, editing, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple partners

 Compensation Range: USD $97,375.00 - USD $155,961.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. This role may also be eligible for bonus or incentive compensation. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
