Your New Role...
The Associate Producer of CNN Global Productions will be responsible for producing and editing non-news feature content - in everything from business and tech to travel and lifestyle - for all of CNN's platforms, from pitch to publish. They will be short-form multi-platform storytellers who strive to innovate and experiment with new technologies.
The successful candidate has a strong foundation of production and editorial skills and will use these skills to create compelling short-form video content for CNN's TV, Digital and Social platforms - thinking from an audience-first perspective.
They will be comfortable writing scripts to a high standard, video editing their own content and working with CNN's established processes to deliver content.
Having experience in dealing with and analyzing data to make informed decisions in conjunction with the Producer will be key.
An Associate Producer for CNN's Global Production team is a position that requires creativity, speed and editorial intelligence. They will help support the creation of content working on topics like Travel, Technology, Sustainability, Business and Culture.
This is a junior-level position that would be suitable for someone who already has some production experience, ideally in a newsroom with exposure to creating content that is top of its game.
The ideal candidate will be proficient with Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing, graphics and audio editing.
Your Role Accountabilities...
  • Pitching ideas for short-form video content that includes TV vignettes/segments, Digital videos (vertical and horizontal), social videos (on channels like YouTube, Facebook, TikTok and Instagram) and Fast Channels.
  • Responsible for planning and facilitating shoots
  • Occasional field producing
  • Writing scripts and working with other CNN colleagues to ensure they meet CNN's highest editorial standards
  • Editing videos using Premiere Pro
  • Publishing content through CNN's CMS

Qualifications & Experience...
  • Experience of creating engaging content (written, video, social) that drives traffic.
  • Proficient with Adobe Premiere Pro (or equivalent) editing software
  • Proven knowledge of video formats and settings
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and completeness.
  • Works diligently and effectively to tight deadlines.
  • Understands business needs and can switch rapidly between projects accordingly.
  • Collaborates within the group and across groups.
  • Able to express ideas effectively, organize and deliver information appropriately.
  • Proactive creative thinker who generates ideas for improvement, takes advantage of opportunities and suggests innovations.
  • A solid foundation of editorial experience - preferably from working in a newsroom.
  • College degree, preferred.

Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $51,520.00 - $95,680.00 salary per year.
