Job description

Braun Intertec is seeking a highly motivated Associate Director to join our Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Team, with a primary focus on the transmission and power infrastructure sector in Texas and the southern United States.

We offer the flexibility to work from home or in an office environment on your own terms.

This position is client facing and is responsible for leading work procurement efforts, managing moderate to complex geotechnical engineering projects, and ensuring client expectations are met or exceeded by providing exceptional team leadership and technical guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead work procurement efforts through identification and pursuit of renewable power generation projects and client opportunities, with assigned quarterly and/or annual revenue goals.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external client relationships, including project and non-project related face-to-face meetings
  • Lead scope of work development and, as needed, assist in proposal preparation for moderate to complex transmission / power infrastructure projects.
  • Build and manage a high-performing team and provide guidance, mentorship, and direction through regular in-person and remote interactions.
  • Lead and/or support client contract negotiations through our Authority Grant policy.
  • Manages project, client, and business-related risk through our Authority Grant policy.
  • Support client relationships to effectively achieve market sector goals and strategies.
  • Develop / assist in development of business goals and objectives.
  • Ensure client satisfaction through project team leadership and successful completion of project scopes of work (schedule, budget, and safety).
  • Work with regional operations leaders to effectively coordinate staff, resources, and manage workloads.
  • Prepare geotechnical engineering reports providing professional opinions and practical solutions, along with other professional documents.
  • Perform engineering analyses using company and industry standards and methodology
  • Review engineering analyses and reports prepared by junior level engineering staff.
  • Perform quality review of work performed by assigned staff; identify, investigate, and resolve internal and external quality issues on projects.

  • Texas Professional Engineer registration/license. Candidate will be required to obtain licensure in multiple other states.
  • 5 or more years of transmission / power infrastructure geotechnical engineering experience.
  • Previous experience with large scale construction projects preferred.
  • Experience working in a consulting firm preferred but not required.
  • Ability to bring in existing client relationships preferred but not required.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of time.

Compensation Range:

$122,000.00 - $182,000.00
